Job Description

Under the direction of senior software development engineers, you will enhance our and extend our build system and DevOps environment to include code coverage reports for every execution of our automation suites. We are looking for more visibility into how much of our code is executed with our automation suites that we use today. You will create these reports for all of the existing automation suites that we have today, including our advanced technologies of SPB fabric, virtualization, Linux operating system and platform support software. Once these reports are available you will review them with our senior engineering leaders to determine if additional test suites are required to enhance our code coverage results. If additional tests are required your understanding of C/C++ will be used to enhance the automation suites to improve our code coverage results.

Other tasks include working with our DevOps teams to integrate the code coverage reports into our Jenkins continuous integration build framework. You will need to produce quality work within the specified time frame and document and track work, and proactively provide updates on progress to the senior engineer. Requirements:

* A college student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or other related engineering field of study.
* Some understanding of communication protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, FTP & Ethernet Protocols is a plus.
* Experience with C/C++ and a UNIX/Linux/Windows operating environment.
* Understanding of scripting languages such TCL, Python, Shell scripting.
* Having already taken a JAVA course would be a plus.
