The Kindle Reader team is looking for a highly motivated Software Development Engineer in Test to deliver tools and automation frameworks that improve our ability to deliver updated apps to our customers across the technology stack. Amazon's Kindle Reader Engineering team is a fast-paced and exciting group that delivers apps that are among the most popular across all of the company, and is one of the most innovative and fastest growing businesses at Amazon. These apps run on a range of mobile and desktop platforms including: iPhone/iPad, Android, Mac, Windows, and the HTML5 Web - Kindle Cloud Reader as well as our own devices such as the Kindle Fire Tablets.

As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) your scope of work is to work with engineering teams across Kindle to lead the design, implementation, and delivery of test solutions for large-scale, critical, and/or highly complex software. You will review both feature designs as well as test plans to ensure your deliveries have a high impact for our business. You will work with new technologies and use current software engineering best practices to solve complex automation problems. An SDET at Amazon is a Development Engineer whose customers are internal developers and testers, so a passion for both Development and QA as well as a customer-focused mindset will help you thrive in this friendly, collaborative, creative team.
