Job Description

Do you have a passion for large scale data processing and building predictive models? Are you interested in scalable solutions for Big Data analytics? The Amazon Browse Classification and Discovery team is seeking a Software Engineer for building a set of services responsible for data processing, mining Taxonomy Insights and build ML models that will measure the customer impact of the Amazon Taxonomy. You will lead technically a team of experienced developers, work closely with Taxonomists and Applied Scientists to deliver models into the Amazon production ecosystem and interact with different organizations. Your efforts will build a robust ensemble of techniques that can measure, predict performance and influence investments in Classification and Taxonomy across marketplaces and languages.

We are seeking an outstanding Software Engineer to help build and support a cutting edge business platform, analytics and predictive models programs. Our primary users, an international team of taxonomists and developers, are responsible for customer-facing product navigation on global Amazon retail websites. The work influences day-to-day decision making for business priorities at Amazon and helps to proactively improve the customer experience through providing data targeted at product discoverability and shopping advancements.
