Amazon Kindle is building a seamless, best in class experience for discovering, purchasing and reading digital Manga across all Kindle surfaces (web, Android, iOS, eReaders). We're seeking a passionate Software Development Engineer in our NYC office to collaborate with engineers, product managers, and experience designers across Amazon to create an elegant, customer centered solution for the Kindle Manga Store.

Who You Are and What You Do:

* SDLC experience
* Experience in test driven software development (Unit testing)
* Customer focus and data driven thinking
* Strong sense of ownership
* Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software
* Clear, professional communication skills able to contribute to team discussions, knowing when to contribute, when to listen, and when to ask questions
* Communicate with users, technical teams and management to collect requirements
* Scope and design requirements
* Design software solutions
* Develop features, applications and systems
* Perform code reviews, source control management; build processes, testing, and operations
