We are looking for someone who can easily understand a distributed system architecture and communicate clearly across teams, as we work with multiple teams and stakeholders in a complex system. Someone who can identify best practices and features to improve the service, and then influence others to adopt them will succeed in this role as the team define the roadmap and are the technology evangelists.

You will work on a dynamic small to medium sized team of Software Engineers owning the Borg. The Borg consists of a Tier-1 service (Borg Service) and a set of self-service tools. We enable our internal customers (client engineers) to own the definition, experimentation and release cycle of use case specific APIs. The Borg is used by the client teams that build the Prime Video applications that run on mobile and living room devices. We have over 170 active APIs and 6,500 transactions per second globally. Our service is highly available and scalable, the team build robust software.

Client API Team is building the future of Prime Video. Our services supports millions of devices daily in over 200 territories around the world. We are working with app developers, service teams, and data providers to dramatically improve the customer experience and implement cutting edge products used every day, by people you know.

Responsibilities:

* Responsible for the development and maintenance of key system features.
* You will investigate design approaches, prototype technology and evaluate technical feasibility, on your own and with other team members.
* Be able to operate in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high quality software against aggressive schedules.
* Establish architectural principles, select design patterns and mentor team members on their appropriate application.
