Amazon Moments is disrupting the way users interact with content by bridging the digital and physical worlds. On February 14th, 2019 we launched a marketing tool that lets companies reward customers for performing high value actions. The Washington Post, Tiktok, Sony Crackle, Bravo, Sesame Workshop, FunPlus and many more are already using Moments to reward customers with digital or physical products fulfilled by Amazon. Our vision is to create delighting moments for customers when they interact with any product.
We're looking for a Software Development Engineer who will work on the Moments service end to end. You will have the opportunity to build new service(s) processing billions of events and set the infrastructure for years to come. You will have the opportunity to lead features, system design, architecture and implement service(s) with ultra-high performance and high reliability. This will include challenging problems involving large scale data engineering, machine learning, AWS, mobile and IoT.
You will work in a tight-knit team and directly interact with the product manager and leadership to scope, design and deliver new features iteratively. You will also have a chance to tap into principal engineers within Amazon to continue to learn and grow. Moments system works with many partner service inside and outside of Amazon, which mean new things to learn on a regular basis.

Key responsibilities for this position include:
* Lead feature, service and system design and architecture, building innovative solutions pushing the limits of what is possible, typically from scratch
* Ability to rapidly prototype new solutions to inform design and architecture choices
* Work closely with the other engineers to implement services with ultra-high performance and high reliability
* Build efficient and reusable abstractions and systems
* Identify and communicate best practices for engineering and acts as the SME for the team
