Opportunity

UJET is looking to hire a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET). As an SDET, you'll have the opportunity to build and enhance one or more test frameworks that ensure our application and SDK are accurate, robust, scalable, performant, and deployable. The ideal candidate for this role has extensive software development experience in Ruby and a strong interest in working with test frameworks.

Responsibilities:

* Architect, design, build and maintain clear and reliable automation frameworks/scripts for complex mobile and web based applications from scratch to make testing processes effective and efficient to deliver high quality software faster
* Define road maps and detailed implementation plans in collaboration with SDET's, QA engineers, SRE's, and developers for QA automation strategy and implementation
* Research and contribute ideas for continually improving code quality and automation test performance
* Work closely with both technical and non-technical members
* Create accurate and detailed bug reports when issues are identified
* Integrate automation tests with CI pipeline
* Interact with various levels of individual contributors and management to educate and influence automation test strategy

Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or closely related field
* 7+ years hands on software engineering background with solid a understanding of algorithms and data structures
* Ability to develop, maintain, and ship reliable automation tool with minimum guidance
* Proficient in Ruby, Rspec
* Solid experience in server-oriented/backend development
* Solid understanding of CI processes
* Experience with SQL and Relational Databases
* Experience with tools such as web monitoring, code coverage, and memory tools
* Experience with REST API
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non technical audiences
* Understanding of Internet technologies and protocols

Nice to Have:

* Experience with Objective-C, Swift, Java, Javascript, Rails, or Go
* Experience with cloud and virtualization technologies such as AWS
* Experience with Docker
