Microsoft Cloud Infrastructure and Operations is the team behind the cloud. MCIO is responsible for delivering over 200 Microsoft web portals, Live and Online Services around the world including infrastructure, security and compliance, operations, globalization, and manageability. The Microsoft Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) group is an exciting and fast evolving engineering group within Microsoft. CO+I's mission is to optimize and deliver industry leading cloud infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services used by our customers around the world. The organization is responsible for strategy and delivery of the foundational platform for all Microsoft Online Services including demand and capacity forecasting, supply chain, data centers, networking, bandwidth, operations, and incident management. CO+I supports over 200 online businesses including Bing, O365, OneDrive, Xbox and Windows Azure branded services.

Within CO+I, Global Data Center Operation Engineering team is chartered to deliver the foundational platform to enable fast, flawless and cost effective execution of data center operations in every data center Microsoft's cloud services run in. We are going to build a brand new v1 service to fundamentally change how our data center critical environment infrastructure is managed and operated, in order to achieve 99.999%availability. The service will integrate with advanced IOT-enabled data center device monitoring system to enable automated decision making, utilize cutting edge machine learning algorithms to reduce operation cost, and leverage world-class augmented reality technologies with HoloLens in the future.

* BS in Computer Science, MS preferred
* 3+ Years' experience in designing and developing software service or tools
* Strong customer focus
* Proven track record of design and technical accomplishment
* Strong problem solving and communication skills

The ideal candidate will have experience in a team environment, experience running and designing enterprise scale services and platforms, technical depth in cloud platforms, agile development practices, and experience in designing & tuning telemetry. In addition, this position requires an individual who can demonstrate the ability to ensure highly resilient and scalable service designs through partnership with other members of the service team.
