Did you know that the concept of musical copyright had its beginnings in the reign of King Henry VIII of England? To produce a new source of revenue, he required copies of all printed matter, including sheet music, to be sent to him and offered protection to printers in the form of licenses.

Fast forward to today, where the music copyright landscape is incredibly complex, and has very different rules depending on which geography you are in and how you consume that music.

The Amazon Music Royalties team is responsible for making sure that artists are paid royalties, on time, and accurately for their songs. We work closely with our licensing, legal, finance, and accounting teams to ensure that we are making this happen. We build the automated calculators, tools, and workflows to ensure this happens.

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to lead quality efforts, including; defining the test strategy, technologies, and frameworks used, and implementing said testing. If you're passionate about automation and continually raising the quality bar of our product, then we want to talk to you. Join our team and help ensure a quality experience for our customers.
