Job Description

The AWS Snowball family of products are the Edge of the AWS cloud that accelerate moving data, extending AWS services, and allowing companies to operate in locations that have little or no networking and no IT infrastructure. Launched in 2015, AWS Snowball defined a new category of cloud services and continues to innovate on behalf of our customers. Our ruggedized computing and storage devices have enabled customers to solve problems that were difficult or impossible to do before due to latency requirements, amount of data to be managed, or the physical environment where they have to operate. As we build new products and services, we are looking for a technical leader to help us build a great customer experience across all of our user touch points. Customers interact with our cloud based console, our on device screens, our mobile apps, and our command line tool and we have a goal of making their experience second to none. Are you the person that can help us build an award winning user experience for our products on each of these platforms? Are you passionate about user experience regardless of platform or interface? Do you delight in delighting customers? Do you want to not only build, but also drive user experience results? If so, we want to hear from you right away. We are building a new team to own all of the user experience for our products and this is a green field opportunity.

As an engineer on this team, you'll be part of a nimble team of talented engineers to innovate rapidly on user experiences where technical and non technical users are your customers. You will drive us towards a consistent customer experience among various touch-points - AWS console, CLI, Snowball client, and mobile applications (iOS and Android). You are expected to be proficient in building both frontend user interfaces as well as backend services that make them great. You will collaborate with product management to deliver high quality software that is performant and maintainable. You will own the goals and drive the strategic direction of your software. Join a start-up team that is driven to serve customers, smart, hardworking, and fun.
