Job Description

Amazon.com's Display Advertising Server team builds and manages high performance systems with high availability. We serve and respond to billions of requests daily, and have the ambition to grow that number by several orders of magnitude under a strict SLA (less than 100ms latency). We are the core system for Amazon Display Advertising and are enabling new businesses within Amazon.com.

Our team offers a challenging and exciting opportunity to work on building greenfield systems to develop next generation display ad server that is flexible for business needs, that is more scalable and provides inbuilt experimentation framework for improving ad relevance.

As an engineer on the team, you will be on the cutting edge of investigating and implementing the latest technologies and mechanisms. You will be exposed to a lot of learning and will have the opportunity to drive and shape the future of the Display Ad Serving infrastructure and ecosystem.

As a Software Development Engineer, you:

Have a strong track record of building innovative and highly performant architecture

Have a solid understanding of and experience with complex distributed systems

Solve problems in ways that can be backed up with verifiable data.

Focus on driving processes, tools, and statistical methods which support rational decision-making.

Are not satisfied with the status quo and push past the limits of conventional boundaries.
