Job Description

Ever wondered how the physical engine at the heart of Amazon works? Ever wondered how Amazon moves many billions of units of inventory efficiently? Are you seeking an environment where you can apply state-of-the-art computer science techniques, and build toolset that supports systems driving every order that Amazon ships to our customers? Come and join us in the brand new Identity & Access Management initiative within Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT)! Joining Identity Management Software team gives you the opportunity to work on an extremely important and critical initiative that's still in its early stages and build a product that will scale globally to Amazon's massive scope.

Successful candidates for this position will have strong software engineering fundamentals (data structures, object-oriented design, and algorithms), experience in the full-stack development, a well-honed arsenal of software architecture and design patterns, and a demonstrated competence in designing reusable, maintainable and performant software written in a modern high-level language (Java, Python, C++, C#, Objective-C, JavaScript). You will be a champion for engineering and operational excellence. You will also demonstrate the ability to adapt to changing business and technical environments and devising creative solutions to vexing software problems. The ability to crisply and concisely communicate orally and in writing to engineers and executives alike is essential.

In this job you will:

* Design and build reusable, maintainable, and performant software consistent with Amazon standard technologies (Java, JavaScript, React, SOA, AWS etc. ).
* Adopt best practices in software engineering: design, testing, version control, documentation, build, deployment, and operations.
* Excel in Dev-Op along with development. Solve problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context.
* Build good working relationships within the team and with others across Amazon.
* Follow Scrum and other agile methods to deliver the most important features to the customer first.
