Designing and configuring cloud architecture can be daunting. With AWS Elastic Beanstalk developers and system administrators can easily create infrastructure and deploy cloud-based applications in a matter of minutes. Beanstalk supports many different language runtimes and software platforms including Ruby, Golang, Docker, Java, Python, Node.js, and .NET. The Platforms team is responsible for curating and building these platforms and making them globally available across the 20+ AWS regions supported by Beanstalk.
We are seeking experienced engineers to help in our mission to provide the best cloud-based web application platform for every popular language runtime. Our customers are other developers and our code is responsible for managing their applications on EC2 virtual machine instances. With 10+ supported platforms, you will have opportunities to work with many different technologies and tools. You will develop functionality that works across all of our platforms, but also dive deep into specific technologies and communities to ensure that our platforms are natural and idiomatic for developers to use.
To succeed in this role, you should be deeply familiar with the development and deployment of cloud-based web applications in at least one popular language runtime, such as Ruby, Python, Java, Node.js, or Golang. You should be comfortable doing traditional object-oriented coding, but also happy to drop into shell scripting and automation work. You enjoy teaching and mentoring others, and helping them grow into better engineers.
If you are interested in cloud computing and want to build robust systems that thousands of customers rely on, join us in making Elastic Beanstalk the best application deployment and management solution for AWS!
