Job Description

Do you want to build a fully cloud based specialized graph database? Do you want to work on fundamental distributed systems and core database problems like graph query language, heat management, cross region replication etc? The Amazon Cloud Directory is looking for brilliant engineers to build the next generation functionality and work on cutting-edge of distributed graph data store problems.

Cloud Directory is a fully managed, multi-tenant data store that provides automatic scaling to hundreds of millions of objects while supporting single digit millisecond latency at scale and different consistency options. It is a tier-0 service and a fundamental building block for AWS. We are looking for seasoned Software Development Engineers to join the Cloud Directory team and be part of an exciting journey of building new services to push the scalability and durability boundaries to the next order of magnitude.

You must have an established background in building large distributed systems, strong technical skills, excellent project management skills, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast paced environment. It is a highly technical space. You are a strong technical leader who effectively partners with other technical leaders in the team, understands the big picture, drives prioritization, builds consensus and rallies the team behind it. Responsibilities include partnering with technical leaders, driving design and implementation of complex components while maintaining an uncompromising bar on quality, and mentoring junior developers for software within the team. Additionally, as our organization is growing, helping with hiring top-notch engineers will be a plus.
