Amazon Music is looking for a software engineer with a strong interest in machine learning to expand Music recommendation abilities, by working closely with a team of machine learning scientists.

As a member of the Amazon Music Recommendations Team, you will be responsible for leading the effort to invent and improve the ways that customers are engaged with recommendations in Amazon Music Unlimited, Prime Music or in their Amazon Music library. You will immerse yourself in a world where one works on classifying different forms of music, and create interactive experiences to help users find the music they are in the mood for. You will work on machine learning problems for music classification, recommender systems and music information retrieval. You will improve algorithms to pick the perfect tracks, albums, playlist and stations to play, and build scalable data stores to help drive the experience.

The ideal candidate is interested in being part of a machine learning engineering and science group who deliver awesome solutions and are passionate about innovating for customers. You will have displayed a track record of success in delivering new features and products. A commitment to team work, hustle, and strong communication skills (to both business and technical partners) are absolute requirements. Creating reliable, scalable, and high performance products requires exceptional technical expertise, a sound understanding of the fundamentals of Computer Science, and practical experience building large-scale distributed systems. The person has an attention to detail to deliver solutions that delight customers.
