Job Description

As a Data Scientist for Amazon.com's Delivery Experience team, you will manage customer behavioral and conversion datasets and leverage your statistical and analytics experience to identify new opportunities and actionable insights that drive Amazon's world-class delivery experience.

Delivery Experience (DEX) designs, builds, and manages customer-facing delivery programs and features across all of Amazon, including Prime 2-day shipping, Prime FREE Same-Day Delivery, One-Day Shipping, No Rush, Free Shipping over $25, and inventions yet to come. You will drive innovations powered by Amazon's vast data to change how customers experience delivery - from the speed, convenience, delivery benefits, and selection features they see on the site every day, to helping launch new delivery benefits and other new programs to customers around the world.

In this role, you will analyze causal datasets (from online experiments) and general behavioral datasets to influence billion dollar decisions across the Amazon.com Website. You will also create and set up reporting tools, and will be hands-on using statistical concepts to design new experiments. As a part of the Delivery Experience organization, you will have a ground-up impact on our business and most importantly, our customers, through your expertise and insights. An ideal candidate will be innovative, flexible, and will love to work collaboratively with cross-functional business and software development teams to solve critical business problems.

The insights and innovations you produce will serve Amazon's customers. As such, you will drive analytical best practices and post-launch analysis to ensure the highest quality experience for customers. You will measure, research, explore, and experiment ways to improve the delivery experience and increase customer satisfaction.
