Job Description

The Consumables RO&I (Retail Operations & Initiatives) and ACES team drives innovation and creates new capabilities to meet the unique characteristics of the Consumables business and enhance customer experience. The RO&I team supports Consumables stretch goal in driving initiatives that help our customers get the best selection at the right price, with sustained unit economics and in a frictionless shopping experience. The ACES team compliments the above by driving increased operating leverage for retail to invest bandwidth back into high value actions. In close partnership with Retail and Technology teams, we define and deliver catalog, profitability and process re-engineering/automation initiatives.

This is an innovative team with a fast paced, highly collaborative start up like environment inside Amazon. To be successful, an SDE2 need to be flexible and entrepreneurial, deeply interested in product design, architecture, and work relentlessly on the best customer experience. This role is also required to be comfortable with a degree of ambiguity and willing to develop quick proof of concepts, iterate and improve. We expect an SDE2 to create extendable design and easy to maintain technical foundation with the long-term vision in mind.
