The eCommerce Foundational Technologies group (eCFT) develops platform services and software solutions that provide the technology foundation for Amazon's Consumer, Digital and other businesses. Our services operate at internet scale and enable thousands of software development teams across Amazon to rapidly turn their ideas into production scale software that power delightful consumer experiences for customers all around the world. eCFT's portfolio includes a wide range of core services across computation, storage, data management, workflows, on-boarding systems and other foundational technologies. The eCFT Console team owns the charter of making it easy and intuitive for software development teams across Amazon to discover and onboard to our core services.

The eCFT Console Team is in charge of web based user experiences for flagship eCFT products and services used by thousands of Amazon development teams across the globe. The team's grand vision is to provide a unified solution for service discovery, on-boarding, and management for services across Amazon.

The eCFT Console Team looking looking for a passionate, results-oriented, inventive Software Development Engineer to refine and deliver our grand vision. As an SDE in eCFT Console Team, you will define a new and scalable web application experience that will help developers, project managers, and product owners across Amazon discover and onboard to the ever-growing suite of eCFT services. You will also design the web application and web services to integrate eCFT services. You will dive deep to not only understand the products and technologies end-to-end, but also use this understanding to guide and accelerate future development in the Console. You will lead by designing web application and services architectures and set best practices that are exemplary in terms of efficiency, stability, extensibility, automation and their ability to evolve over time.

Successful candidates will have a proven track record of developing highly distributed systems using Agile and incremental delivery methods. You must enjoy working on complex software systems in a customer-centric environment and be passionate not only about building good software but also ensuring that same software achieve its goals in operational reality. You should thrive in a fast-paced environment, understand service-oriented architecture, and will help us help the business innovate quickly at scale. You are expected to be proficient in building user interfaces, accelerating development by automating UI components as well as influencing backend service implementation. You must demonstrate strong leadership and control your own destiny in Amazon's ownership oriented culture.
