Job Description

Scope:

The Software Development Engineer provides application development and support functions for various business and technical 3rd party and in house developed applications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Employ CAM system programs to perform design rule analysis of printed circuit boards
* Develop scripts to improve and/or automate existing manual tasks
* Determine user requirements for particular application related requests
* Develop, test and debug new and/or existing applications
* Determines the most appropriate software to implement the required reports.
* Programs the modules using an approved development methodology cycle.
* Provides end user and application support for issues and problems.
* Generates and maintains appropriate levels of documentation for end users as well as for continued support.
* Immediate communicate with CAM Operators regarding any discrepancies on the travelers/data
* Follow-up with CAM Operators to ensure that discrepancies are efficiently being addressed
* Complete all internal department documentation accurately

Essential Knowledge & Skills:

* Proficient knowledge of Valor-Genesis 2000
* Excellent communication skills
* Excellent computer skills
* Skill in problem solving techniques, structured programming, database management and developing process documentation
* Experience in a variety of programming languages. Perl experience is preferred.
* Ability to read, write and communicate in English to the degree necessary to perform the job

Education & Experience:

* 2 year Associate degree is required, a BS degree in the related discipline is preferred
* 2 years programming experience required
* Five years experience with CAM within the PCB industry

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation..
