About this Role:

Infinitive is growing its team in the Northern Virginia area and is currently seeking an AWS IoT Developer to join our growing Technology practice. This person will utilize their cloud computing expertise to meet the needs of clients using cloud native tools. The ideal candidate has experience developing and deploying applications on AWS and at least one of the industry leading platforms. This person must also understand design requirements for highly scalable systems and be able to write high quality, testable and maintainable code.

We are looking for candidates who are accountable, passionate, assertive, proactive, open & honest, results oriented, and adaptable. Each project engagement represents a new challenge that will give you exposure to new clients, business issues, technologies, and people and will involve a range of responsibilities to include:

Design, build and implement AWS IoT architecture systems in various project scenarios
Create intuitive web-service APIs and use AWS to develop and deploy new features at a fast pace
Utilize big data platforms, analytic frameworks, and machine learning languages (R, Scala, Python)
Provide technology architecture for IoT solutions and design infrastructure activities
Troubleshoot, diagnose and support IoT solution development efforts

Qualifications:

Prior experience implementing IoT architecture systems on multiple projects
Demonstrated experience with key IoT use cases
Hands-on experience with AWS IoT cloud platform technologies including AWS Core IoT, AWS Greengrass, AWS IoT Device Manager, AWS IoT Analytics and AWS Platform Functions including SFTP, Data Ingest, Store & Exposure, Analytics and Visualization

AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Professional (preferred)
AWS Certified Developer Associate or Professional (preferred)

Interest in being involved internally and growing a small business (entrepreneurial spirit)
Ability to travel (up to 20%) and to work independently
Experience working in an Agile environment.
Excellent leadership, peer management, and communication skills
Management consulting experience (preferred)
IT Engineering background or familiarity with typical industry-accepted plant automation platforms and possesses general knowledge of midstream oil and gas operations (preferred)
Bachelor's degree
