We are seeking a Software Engineer to help us develop software systems to address challenging national security problems that enable planning and decision making in domains as diverse as active threat deterrence, signal intelligence, cyber operations, machine learning, image processing, and applied data analytics. We want talented individuals who can work as part of a team to design, implement, test, document, and maintain software applications that provide highly impactful capabilities. You will combine software engineering expertise with the latest software research to build rapid prototypes and then refine product solutions.

As a member of our team you will …

* Primarily work with sponsors and end users in defense or intelligence organizations to understand their operations and identify requirements.


* Design, implement, test, and maintain software-based solutions in a dynamic environment.


* Seek out new and innovative ways to improve task efficiency and document software approaches.


* Stay abreast of industry and practices standards to ensure code maintainability.


* Possibly be required to do occasional travel to customer sites.



You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...

* Have completed a B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field.
* Possess 0 to 3 years of practical experience developing software using Java, C#, Java Script, Relational Databases, Python or equivalent.
* Are experienced working successfully within a team environment.
* Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Are able to obtain a Top Secret level security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

You'll go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you...

* Have completed a Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field.
* Possess Framework skills such as Java FX, Hibernate / JPA, .Net Entity Framework, Angular JS (or other web frameworks), Android development, Geographic mapping technologies (e.g. Google Maps)
* Are experienced with web services and web-based UI software and languages (CSS, HTML, JavaScript, node.js, etc.).
* Have experience working with DoD and/or IC customers.
