Job Description

The Marlin Alliance, Inc. is seeking a Software Developer in San Diego, CA to support the SPAWAR Fleet Readiness Directorate. Anticipated travel is minimal (<5%). Salary is commensurate with experience. Candidate must have a DoD Secret clearance.

Duties/Responsibilities

* Use software frameworks, technologies and programming languages to improve system performance, reduce overall life-cycle costs, risks, and increase the potential for interoperability.
* Use latest standard frameworks, technologies and design patterns to increase application portability and maintainability.
* Plan for software development and sustainment by selecting appropriate software life-cycle models (e.g., agile, spiral, iterative, evolutionary).

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)

Required:

* High school diploma or GED.
* 2+ years of experience in software engineering/development.
* Experience in applying analytical skills to support process improvement, studies, and analysis projects.
* Must have an active US Secret security clearance.

Preferred:

* Bachelors degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or other related scientific or technical discipline from accredited college/university.
* Experience translating operational needs into long-term solutions.
* Experience with the following technologies: JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, SVG/CSS Animation, Microsoft Office Add-Ins, Visio/Excel Interop, Microsoft Access, C#, SharePoint]
* Working knowledge of agile software development methodologies, including SCRUM.
