Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

The Flash Storage (FS) system is a highly available, highly scalable, multi-protocol, enterprise storage system. We are looking for a talented individuals to join the Business Continuity team as we expand and build highly scalable Oracle Engineered business continuity solutions . The Business continuity team is responsible for developing and supporting the data mover, disaster recovery orchestration and application integration features required for Business Continuity solution.

Details:

The candidate must be able to understand, develop and modify complex designs. They must also be able to document and communicate these designs to other members on the team. They will be proficient in all areas of computer architecture and systems design. As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of storage software applications or operating systems. The candidate must have a BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. The candidate must have 10 or more years of domain experience that is listed below.

Required Programming Skills:

* Demonstrated programming skills in C, C , Python programming languages.
* Demonstrated understanding of Real Time Embedded Software development and design techniques.

Required Domain Experience:

* Data Caching, File System, Data Management, Replication/Mirroring/Snapshots/CDP
* Cloud Technology (Especially IaaS (Storage)) and Object storage
* Storage De-duplication, Encryption, Compression - highly desirable
* iSCSI and SCSI protocols - highly desirable
