Job Description

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

As a Developer of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software development to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing enterprise class software application. Working within a highly successful product development team within an agile, iterative process you will support, debug, and provide solutions, engage in programs and initiatives to analyze the root cause of issues and recommend and evolve suitable solution approaches to address the challenges in time-sensitive fashion.

Oracle Business Intelligence technology and solutions are built on open and standards based platform, integrated with Oracle Middleware technology and platform, and delivered as both standalone offering and embedded in the next generation Oracle Fusion Applications, for both on-premise and cloud deployments. You will be using the combination of C, C , Java/J2EE, WebServices/SOAP, JavaScript/Flash/Ajax, Python, on host of standard Operating systems and high-end Engineered systems.

The BI Analytic Server powers Oracle's Business Intelligence suite and is embedded within various vertical Oracle applications, like financials, planning and budgeting; which use advanced statistical analytics and forecasting. Our customers demand a product that allows easy, fast navigation through enormous data warehouses and data marts. The BI Analytic Server is the fundamental foundation that enables Oracle's Business Intelligence applications. The BI platform is essentially a federated database. It enables Business applications to query (distributed joins) data from multiple heterogeneous systems (Relational DBMS, OLAP Cubes, Spreadsheets, Web Services) and perform advanced (analytical, statistical, spatial etc.) business analytics.

Desired Skill Set

* Strong Computer Science fundamentals with Data-structures and Algorithm. STL and exposure to C generic programming. Multithreading and parallel programming.
* Proficiency in Java / J2EE and other web-technologies.
* Experience developing and maintaining highly performant public REST interfaces.
* Experience with cloud native infrastructure and technologies like Kubernetes.
* Experience in query optimization techniques via new algorithms, caching and scaling.
* Experience with live query environments against diverse set of data-sources and optimization techniques with filter and aggregation push down.
