Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

The Monitoring Automation team provides comprehensive end-to-end monitoring and autonomous solutions for Oracle Cloud services teams, focusing on SaaS through Oracle Enterprise Manager suite of products and others. The team closely works with relevant engineering and operations teams in developing and deploying additional monitoring/integration solutions as required.
JOB DESCRIPTION & PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Work in an agile DevOps environment creating and maintaining automation for all phases of the Enterprise Monitoring framework; autonomous healing, discovery, monitoring, configuration, incident-rules, reports/dashboards, metric-extensions, administration and more.
Develop, test, deploy and support integration and automation solutions using Enterprise Manager
Design and develop BI reports and dashboards
Debug Enterprise Manager product/configuration/operational issues and work with relevant teams to get the resolution/fix
Co-ordinate with other teams in implementing the solutions/patches across all environments
Ensure service reliability
Administer Enterprise Manager framework
Work with development team closely to improve Oracle product quality
The role will require some on-call / weekend maintenance / shift work (early starts or late finishes)
TECHNICAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
6 Years of Experience in a DevOps environment with heavy focus on software lifecycle automation
Advanced knowledge of scripting languages (shell, Perl and Python/Clang)
Advanced knowledge with Kafka, Redis, ElasticSearch
Experience with SQL & PL/SQL Programming skills
Experience with Javascript, Java and RESTAPI
Experience working in a fast paced agile environment
Experience with monitoring and management tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager,Nagios, Prometheus, or others.
Experience in data structures, algorithms, object oriented design and design patterns
Experience with Oracle APEX Application creation and maintenance is a plus
Experience working in a Cloud/SaaS environment is a plus
Experience in developing AI/ML based application is a plus
Able to lead all phases of the software development lifecycle
SOFT SKILLS

Ability to fulfill role/duties independently within defined policies and procedures
Ability to balance multi-task and multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction is key
