Software Developer:

Will write new and mature existing image processing analysis tools. They will work in a team environment to implement, refine and optimize image and signal processing algorithms. Will be responsible for tracking and resolving software bugs and for managing software repository and maintaining consistent revision control process. Will plan and conduct performance and regression testing. Working knowledge of scientific programming language (Matlab, python, IDL, Julia, R, etc) and experience using software revision control tools (GitHub, SVN). Also familiarity with ENVI/IDL, Linux OS, remote sensing formats, developing GUI, would be helpful, but not required.

LCAT/Skills Description:

* Researches, designs, develops, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software.
* Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards.
* Evaluates interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system.
* Documents testing and maintenance of system corrections.



Required: 9 years of experience and a MA/MS degree. In place of the degree, may substitute 19 years of relevant work

experience.
