Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

Job Description: The Oracle Key Vault team is a diverse group of talented people who are passionate about doing what we can to improve data security in general and key management in particular. Proliferation of keys and other credentials in the corporate IT and cloud makes key management an ardous task for enterprises. Oracle Key Vault simplifies this task. As a product, Oracle Key Vault is a full-stack, security hardened software appliance that manages the TDE Master Keys, Oracle Wallets, Java keystores and credential files. It integrates directly with Oracle TDE, MySQL, ACFS.

We are looking for a software developer to help us develop the next generation of communication protocol between the Oracle Database and the Oracle Key Vault appliance. This position will involve the understanding of the OKV security appliance, communication between appliance and Oracle Key Vault client software and understanding of the TDE key management. The position involves designing and implementing the TDE key management adapter and delivering the same.

Job Requirements: At least 4 years of development experience in the security space, and:

* Familiarity with information security and key management concepts and protocols like PKCS#11, KMIP, TLS
* Understanding of Database Transparent Data Encryption
* Proficient in C and one or more of the following: Java, Python, javascript, shell scripting.
* Good understanding of the Database, Networking and OS concepts, especially Linux.
* Background and interest in security is required, and:
* Good communicator, approachable and team player
