Are you interested in building an idea end-to-end from concept to market? Do machine learning based solutions excite you?

The Kindle Digital Content team is looking for a highly technical manager to lead a new initiative that delivers content from top publishers to tens of millions of customers through new digital experiences. You and your team of engineers will pioneer this product including building core customer-facing and back-end features, machine learning model prototypes and integration, and international expansion. You will partner with teammates across multiple functions including product managers, marketers, designers and scientists.

The ideal candidate can demonstrate a high degree of technical ownership and is a passionate builder of talent and teams. You must insist on the highest standards for quality, maintainability, performance and hiring. You will draw from your deep technical experience to hire and grow engineers, provide leadership on complex technical issues, institute best practices, and own technical architecture and project delivery. You will conduct deep-dive exercises and drive technical discussions to identify the best solutions for development. You know how to run an efficient and lean operation, and excel at using metrics, monitoring and alarming to improve the operational performance of the team.
