Job Description

Amazon Tax technology team is looking for highly motivated, creative and passionate Software Development Engineers in Test to come work on this project. You are a talented SDET who knows how to build zero touch continuous deployment environments and believes that sky is the limit when it comes to quality.

It's Day 1 in Tax Technology, and we're at the beginning of building out an entire suite of global tax solutions. You and a team of developers will work through all phases of the project lifecycle, including reviewing requirements, designing services that lay foundation for the new technology platform, build new interfaces and also integrate with existing architectures, developing and testing code, and delivering seamless implementations for Global Tax customers

In this role you will be responsible for providing your valuable feedback on our product's technical architecture from quality perspective and end-to-end control of the code deployments in our tax technical solutions. You will also be doing hands-on development of testing frameworks for our tax-centric web and desktop applications and integration of available frameworks into seamless solutions for our Global Tax team. As a SDET on the Tax Applications team, you will own a portfolio of tools hosted on AWS infrastructure. You will enable the department to scale by helping in designing applications and automation that has efficient controls to make sure that we are generating correct financially significant amounts. Additionally, you will encourage and enforce best practices across the team to provide the highly consistent and scalable development environment needed to meet the demands of this dynamic and growing organization.

Successful candidates can juggle multiple priorities, quickly adapt to new environments, design new architectures, find creative solutions to difficult problems, and are highly focused on quality.

Responsibilities:

* Work with a team of engineers to plan, architect, design, and iteratively deliver quality control frameworks for complex systems
* Work closely with business leaders and end users to translate functional requirements into system controls
* Create project technical requirements and related project documentation, including milestones and project schedules from quality control perspective
* Be very hands-on; work with others on the engineering team to manage the day-to-day development activities, participate in designs, design review, code review, and implementation.
* Design and implement testing frameworks for our Micro Services, Frond-End and big data technologies
* Work with development teams to understand, implement and deliver on requirements, provide status updates, and coordinate testing and implementation activities
* Utilize existing Amazon & other open source tools and technologies to build test frameworks
* Exhibit a high degree of drive, personal integrity and humility
