Cobb Systems Group is looking for Technical Project Manager with experiences in leading strategic and tactical initiatives to improve for our client. The primary responsibilities of this critical position will be to ensure the timely and effective delivery of software. All Project Management principles will need to be applied, inclusive of a participatory and proactive engagement acumen. An indication of responsibilities is below, however, flexibility in this position is necessary dependent upon project structure, goal, and point of engagement.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
* Deliver data warehouse and Business intelligence systems * Move projects across all IT areas/silos (development, QA, DevOps, Production support) * Lead scoping activities and ensure that requirements are developed * Ensure that work effort is captured in the proper systems (JIRA, TFS, etc.) * Responsible for the delivery of multiple projects simultaneously * Work with stakeholders to develop system and project requirements, timelines and resources * Assess and support communication and training efforts * Frequently communicate with both team members and management regarding plan progress * Apply Risk Management throughout project with application to approach as well as Issues/Risk Logs * Help test implementation against requirements prior to "go-live" and provide accurate reporting of both successes and failures
* 7+ years of experience in the management of complex projects in a fast-paced environment * Financial Services or Investment Management Services experience strongly preferred * Experience with Middle and back office operations preferred * Experience with mutual fund, and securities market data preferred * Proven ability and experience with the SDLC lifecycle and IT project delivery * Experience with Continuous Improvement and Business Optimization * Knowledge and practice of Agile methodologies * Knowledge of change management & project management principles, methodologies, and tools preferred * Demonstrated ability to build relationships with other business areas * Ability to organize complex, time-sensitive projects * Demonstrated ability to integrate change management practices * Strong communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to clearly articulate to all levels Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships * Ability to provide thought leadership, influence others and move toward a common vision or goal * Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations * Proven ability to incorporate business strategies and execute on a strategic project manager level * Knowledge of problem-solving and root cause identification skills * Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization * Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others * Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges * Proven track record in delivering projects on-time and on budget * Expert use of various project management software tools
