* Software Configuration/Release Management Engineer (Contract)

Overview

* Junior-mid level position to provide support for the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of Software Configuration/Release processes.



Responsibilities:

Primary tasking for the position consists of software CM and build/release support for software teams working in both Windows and Linux development environments and of maintenance of automation used in the software development lifecycle using CM tools, PERL, bash/cygwin, Windows batch scripts, and make utilities.

The position will involve development and maintenance of automation scripts, administration of SCM tools, and documentation of software development procedures and standards.

Candidates should have a good understanding of software processes and software lifecycle. Good trouble shooting and debugging skills are highly desirable. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary. Dedication to meeting scheduled milestones.

Requirements:

* Performs software build and release activities for our products
* Maintains software code repositories (ClearCase and Subversion)
* Maintains software development environment and associated toolset
* Maintains software change management repository (ClearQuest)
* Creates and maintains release process and procedure scripts
* Interfaces with IT to ensure support for development environment
* Implements new scripts based on evolving needs
* Communicates extensively with firmware, host and tool engineers along with appropriate project managers.
* Performs environment set-up and tool set training for new developers.
