Summary

FreeWheel Advertisers is looking for a talented Software Automation Test Engineer to join a dynamic team driving the future success of our media platforms for agencies & marketers. In Agile development teams, the QA role is embedded in the development team, holds a variety of responsibilities, and works closely with product managers and developers.This position is an ideal opportunity for anyone with a passion for advertising technology and a commitment to quality to be part of a team focused on quickly delivering high-quality, releasable products. This role requires hands-on coding experience with Test Complete, QTP, Selenium or a similar automation framework. This position is located in our Chicago Headquarters but the right candidate could work remotely. They will engage with other team members to ensure that their own high standards of quality are met. Ideal candidates will be innovative, self-motivated, and willing to develop new skills while improving existing abilities.

Essential Functions

* Building and maintaining testing automation scripts and frameworks that execute the verification and validation of software products using those scripts
* Defining and executing relevant business scenarios to satisfy real-world business needs
* Working unsupervised to drive the QA effort for their team
* Consistently and clearly communicating with POs, SMs, developers, and other team members.
* Following testing methodologies
* Writing test cases
* Performing testing
* Analyzing, documenting, and communicating test results.
* Creating and maintaining shared Agile team and QA Department resources

Experience and Skills

* 5+ years Windows software QA testing and test automation in an agile environment using the scrum framework
* Media planning and buying workflows and/or software systems (preferably Strata)
* Software testing using complex financial workflows
* Software product development and quality assurance practices
* Test automation tools such as Test Complete, Selenium, or JavaScript (mandatory)
* Scripting languages (Javascript, Jscript, VBScript, C#, Python, etc.)
* API Testing
* Test case management tools (TestRail)
* SQL Server 2008R2 or greater, including T-SQL scripting
* Knowledge management and defect tracking tools (Confluence, JIRA)
* Organization skills and the ability to work on multiple concurrent projects, with a high standard of quality
* Analytical and troubleshooting abilities
* Oral and written communication skills and the ability to mentor junior coworkers

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

* 5+ years of Windows software QA testing and test automation in an agile environment using tools such as Test Complete, Selenium, or JavaScript
* Experience with Media planning and buying workflows and/or software systems (preferably Strata)
* Software testing using complex financial workflows
* A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field is required.

Working Conditions

Working conditions are in agreement with conditions described within the company handbook unless explicitly noted in this document. This is a full-time position at the company's offices in Chicago or from an agreed-upon remote location, based on hours specified by the QA Manager.
