Job Description

Working with E Ink's Research Organization, this individual will be a member of a team developing new technology and product concepts. He/she will be responsible for the hardware/firmware/software construction of new device prototypes to be used in advancing new-technology platforms. Responsibilities • Create firmware and software to control microprocessor-based electronic assemblies for varied technology and product prototypes and for testing apparatus

* Create tool sets for internal and external customers to advance product concepts
* Develop and integrate microprocessor-based control solutions into prototype assemblies for chemical, electrical, and optical use
* Design, debug and implement electronic connections, both digital and analog, between TFT's, TFT controllers and external computers
* Collaborate with cross-discipline stakeholders to define and prioritize functional requirements for hardware/software delivery
* Collaborate with synthetic chemists and materials scientists to create prototypes
* Document plans and results in technical documentation
* Deliver on project commitments and actively pursue contingency plans
* Communicate results broadly to E Ink technical staff

Qualifications • A degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or related fields

* 2+ years of industrial experience in scientific or engineering discipline
* Experience with firmware development and embedded systems
* Experience solving industrial problems in digital and analog electronics
* Experience with Python
* Ability to program in Linux, C and C++
* Excellent communication skills including oral presentations and written technical reports
* Team player able to effectively accomplish shared goals

Preferences

* Experience with Raspberry Pi or similar capability
* Experience with FPGA programming
