Aurora hires people who want to build the future of transportation. We are searching for quality assurance specialists to work on our simulation team. He/She will work closely with a multidisciplinary team spanning software quality, software engineering and operations to define, design, test, and implement simulation scenarios.

Responsibilities

* Review all simulation scenario creations for quality while inspecting for specific criteria
* Review simulations between different software releases and escalate any issues
* Seek information to understand the behavior behind these events and structure and organize them more efficiently to ensure accuracy and data quality
* Help define strategy and priority areas working closely with the head of the team as well as cross-functionally between engineering and operations
* Provide feedback on current tooling and assist in efficiency improvements for these tools and technologies
* Improve the development of metrics and dashboards

Essential

* Excellent analytical skills, including proficiency with SQL and advanced Google Sheets/Excel skills
* Structured thinking - can easily break down complex ambiguous problems and propose alternative solutions
* Strong relationship building skills and ability to work with very different teams, at the intersection of engineering and operations in a fast-moving startup environment
* Self starter (and self directed) with a high sense of urgency while maintaining a meticulous attention to detail
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Commitment to the team, you're willing to help out wherever needed

Desirable

* B.S in STEM field
* Ability to travel to remote offices as needed
* Has a passion for autonomous vehicle technology
