Overview

Amyx is seeking a Sharepoint Administrator with excellent communication skills to provide leadership and perform IT asset management in Rosslyn VA. Our ideal candidate is proactive, thinks through their activities and understands how their work contributes to Amyx and adds value to the client, as well as how their work meets evolving client needs and other emerging requirements at the client. Prior or current work experience at the Department of State is highly desirable. The candidate must demonstrate excellent written and oral communications skills, be self-driven, and work collaboratively with the members of the project team. He/she should work with the team to execute the project plans and utilize his or her skills to solve problems and lead project execution and status reporting for IT asset management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent listening skills and ask relevant insightful questions in interactions with colleagues and client. The candidate will be able to capture and present ideas articulately and persuasively to colleagues and clients, promote team morale, and enhance productivity

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will provide administration of the team's SharePoint site, including:

* Managing services and scheduled jobs within the SharePoint environment, creating new sites and lists, installing new web parts, doing backups, managing governance policies and permissions.
* Managing and checking the overall server health and functionality
* Monitoring SharePoint disk space usage through the built-in SharePoint reports for each site collection
* Managing SharePoint permissions
* Analyzing and reporting upon SharePoint usage and activity
* Moving/copying sites
* Supporting network load balancing needs and ensuring its correct operation (NLB)
* Regular review of the events and messages reported in Event Viewer and Performance Monitor
* Regular review, clean-up, management and configuration of SharePoint accounts and sites. This portion of the role will work closely with an Active Directory administrator if they are separated.
* Regularly analyzing SharePoint content and storage
* Monitoring SharePoint trends (e.g. site usage and growth, disk space usage and growth)
* Setting up alerts and enforcing policies
* Regularly auditing your SharePoint environment
* Identifying and reporting governance violations
* Checking for operating system, SQL Server and SharePoint patches and cumulative updates.
* SharePoint Administration knowledge areas - keywords - SQL Server, Active Directory, Performance Monitor, Event Viewer

Qualifications

Supported Technologies:

* SharePoint 2016
* SharePoint Designer
* InfoPath Designer

Required:

* Associates Degree
* Minimum 6-7 years of experience in SharePoint with 2 years in SharePoint 2016 performing the above duties
* TS Clearance
