Job Description

The OPTED Business Lead plays an integral role in leading firm-wide change through the development and operation of an integrated shared services program and function. You will lead the development and continuous refinement of the OPTED integrated business solutions development plan. You will drive growth and ensure a consistent, best-in-class experience for the shared services customer. As the Executive Lead you will be accountable for the process, which identifies key opportunities and gaps in the core business areas, ensuring alignment of resources and delivering on proven methodologies to ensure requests are properly solutioned. You will work directly with asset/product owners to understand their need and then to build and deliver a compelling solution that leverages the shared services business platform.

Work you'll do

* Refine and execute the shared services strategy and drive transformation at the tactical level as a dedicated hands-on Continuous Improvement expert
* Advise and collaborate with Product Asset Owners to facilitate engagement with resources needed to execute on the product development lifecycle, including such resources as guidance on Intellectual Property, developing an approach for product pricing, etc.
* Must be able to interact and build strategic relationships across the different key areas of: intellectual property, legal and risk compliance, marketing and sales enablement, market and competitor analysis, pricing and measurement, vendor alliances and talent sourcing
* Build out a project-tracking dashboard that shows status, metrics, and results of service requests
* Establishes contacts and manages relationships with internal partners and external clients to drive best in class service and cost savings
* Directs strategic, tactical and operational planning for the business shared services
* Strong interpersonal skills supporting collaboration, negotiation, and teamwork with a diverse group, able to command a presence with internal colleagues and customers
* Comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, service-minded, mission-based organization
* Ability to multi-task and work autonomously while under substantial schedule and performance pressure
* Solutions-oriented mindset

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field
* 10+ years' experience as project manager, delivering complex integrated business application projects in a shared service environment
* 8+ years' experience with shared services functions; managing people, process, and technology in a shared service environment; and providing shared services to multiple stakeholders in a large organization with a strong internal control environment
* 6+ years' supervisory experience with proven skills in the areas of motivation, employee development and change management. Able to communicate expectations, monitor and manage performance, provide appropriate recognition and rewards, and provide constructive feedback
* Strong collaboration skills and the ability to create, build, and manage effective strong business relationships with cross-functional partners at all levels throughout the organization to drive change and continuous improvement.
* Experience standing up an integrated shared service program, with demonstrated thought leadership in the Innovation, Business, Collaboration, and Technology space
* Strong critical thinking and organizational skills; ability to synthesize data to identify opportunities, define strategies, and prioritize solution development and/or delivery, as well as the ability to adapt quickly to changing environments

Preferred Requirements:

* MBA
* PMP certified with current credentials
* Previous strategic consulting experience
