Position Overview

The ServiceNow O&M Consultant is responsible for supporting our customers in operating their ServiceNow solutions, configuring changes and enhancements to their implementation, supporting upgrades of the customer ServiceNow instance, providing system administration services for the customer's ServiceNow instance, and identifying opportunities to extend the customer's ServiceNow platform to address new needs.

Responsibilities

* Performing daily administration, troubleshooting and resolution for one of more ServiceNow environments on behalf of Sentinel's customers
* Analyzing, logging and estimating all requests for incident assistance, enhancements and maintenance
* Configuring ServiceNow applications to support customer enhancement requests
* Incident Management/Defect resolution support and escalating application defects to Sentinel's ServiceNow practice, as needed
* Performing regular environment maintenance
* Reporting and dashboard development
* Performing data imports
* Escalating advanced scripting and development tasks to ServiceNow practice team members as needed.

Required Qualifications

* 2 years of experience in overall service management with a strong working knowledge of various ServiceNow applications such as Service Desk, Change Management, Asset Management, CMDB, Knowledge Management and Service Catalog/Service Request Management
* Good analytical and problem solving skills to resolve technical issues
* Minimum one year of hands-on experience administering ServiceNow
* Two years of experience using JavaScript, XML, and HTML preferred
* Must be adaptable to work in a varied, fast paced environment; to work both in collaboration with team members and alone; and to work at customer sites, our sites, or your home.
* Good analytical and problem solving skills to resolve technical issues
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with business partners

Preferred Qualifications

* Trade school certification in software development preferred
* ServiceNow CSA or commitment to pass this certification within 30 days.
