Position Description
Seattle University is recruiting a Server Engineer 2 to manage our virtual and physical
environments with a focus on student success. This position reports to the Manager of the
Technical Operations
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
* VMware server deployment, host management, vLAN mananagement, Datastore Management, and documentation
* SAN Storage management
* Active Directory management
* Automation
* System Maintenance
* Ticket resolution
* Cultivate customer relationships: actively solicit feedback from, share information with, and communicate with stakeholders.
* Provide project support and coordination for both IT and University initiated projects.
* Deliver services in keeping with our dedication to operational excellence.

Qualifications
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
* Hands-on VMware 6.0 - 6.5 skills, a keen sense of problem solving, understanding task
automation to work quickly and effectively, and
* Hands-on SAN skills
* Ambition to learn new skills while working outside of your comfort zone.
* Comfort performing multiple activities simultaneously.
* Demonstrated ability to produce effective, professional, and accurate written correspondence.
* Ability to exercise sound judgment in complex situations.
* A commitment to achieve consistent results.
* Drive and a desire to challenge yourself and your team.
