Job Description

Your Role

As a Gensler Server Administrator, it's your job to work with a team of systems administrators to deliver powerful, robust, fast and secure information systems service and solutions. Leverage your industry experience with Cisco, VMWare, Windows and other leading-edge technologies to support our designers and architects to bring excellence through the power of design.

What You Will Do

* Implement and manage disaster recovery and data synchronization solutions across data centers
* Install, manage and maintain virtual servers running Windows and Linux operating systems
* Secure and audit server access and control
* Work with a team to plan application upgrades and purchases
* Assist in product evaluations/recommendations, network optimization, systems monitoring, new installations and security administration
* Work with a team to shape new and maintain existing Active Directory Group Policies
* Leverage your experience and troubleshooting skills to assist with physical and virtual desktops, shared storage and shared application technologies
* Other administration tasks as required

Your Qualifications

* US Citizenship is required
* Associates degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
* Technical trade school combined with 3+ years network, data center or telecom service experience
* Demonstrable knowledge of Windows Server, Windows 7, Windows 10 operating systems, Microsoft Office and MS Server Applications such as SCCM or SCOM)
* Demonstrable knowledge of advanced networking concepts including Active Directory structure, Group Policy Objects and LDAP troubleshooting
* Familiarity with Macintosh OS X configuration including support of Mac clients in a corporate Windows network environment is a plus
* Certifications such as Network+ , Security+ , CompTIA , Certified Ethical Hacker are a plus
* Ability to clear a background check is required
* Proficiency in the English language, both written and spoken, is required
* Ability to disconnect, lift and move data center equipment (up to 50 lbs with a work partner) required as installation of up to 4U equipment is a job function
* Ability to maneuver within rack spaces and in tight spots to run cables and wires is a job function as new servers are moved/installed, cabled and powered
