The SEO Analyst combines knowledge of SEO analytics and the ability to formulate meaningful insights based on SEO data to provide tactical and strategic support to Meredith Digital leadership. The ideal candidate has knowledge of organic acquisition strategies, technical SEO reviews and audits, and is comfortable providing strategic recommendations based on deep dives into data.
II. Essential Job Functions
Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable Results
Analyze organic traffic patterns across Meredith Digital portfolio to assess impact of shifts in organic acquisition and to formulate hypotheses around the root causes of these shifts.
Work closely with Senior Director, SEO and Growth leadership to establish Meredith Digital POV on observed search patterns and to recommend steps for mitigating risk and leveraging opportunity in organic.
Provide ongoing reports, analytics, and benchmarking to support senior management in making strategic business decisions in areas affected by organic search.
Work with the BI team to ensure the right data is being pulled to support SEO insights and to develop additional reporting and data capture initiatives.
Support SEO Tech in monitoring SEO health of multiple sites and to provide recommendations to Product for addressing discovered SEO issues and building new onsite and backend features.
III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.
* 3+ years of SEO and/or digital marketing analytics experience. * Experience working on a complex network of sites. * Experience working cross-functionally in a large organization or with a wide range of clients.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Experience with web analytics tools (Google Webmaster Tools, Google Analytics, etc.) * General understanding of search engine ranking factors, algorithms, and core SEO principals * Strong written and oral communication skills with technical and business constituents.
