Job Description

As Senior Web Developer, you will provide technical leadership for application development, sustainment, and support processes for websites (WordPress content management system) and mobile apps. We are a leading University in using WordPress on an enterprise level; help set the course as we move that service to the cloud.

The successful candidate will:

* have expert-level development experience with WordPress
* have code to share for technical assessment that is in source control
* have experience in mentoring other developers with a sharp focus on best practices
* have a demonstrated ability to independently set and achieve goals in a complex and fast-moving environment
* exhibit the expertise to work on highly complex projects that require in-depth knowledge across multiple technical areas

This position requires great attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Your analytical skills need to include a high degree of creativity, engagement, and problem-solving ability. We place a premium on excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) and a high energy level. You must have a strong commitment to customer service.

The position reports to the Associate Director, BU.EDU & Mobile Applications. As a key member of the Applications team, you'll also have meaningful responsibilities and tangible input into workflow and tools. You'll be expected to make recommendations and develop standards to improve overall efficiencies and smartly manage the growth of the technical landscape.

Required Skills

Bachelor's Degree required and over eight years of relevant experience.
