Role description and opportunities
This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of growing team who is leading UX driven marketing across BNY Mellon's global brand and businesses. We are looking for someone whose passion is taking design and user experience to the next level, who is forward-thinking and can create impactful and engaging digital design experiences. This person is excited to work on creating client-centric new web properties and new digital design frameworks in order to support global strategic initiatives.
The ideal candidate must bring a strong knowledge of design thinking, a deep understanding of UX practices as well as have a keen eye for clean and detailed designs. You should be able to demonstrating a thorough understanding of the client's journey, creating UX design systems, digital strategy and be able to go from designing low-fidelity wireframes to high fidelity design concepts. This role frequently collaborates with other digital marketers and business stakeholders to capture the requirements, translate them to create a compelling user experiences and plays a key role in bringing new digital products to market.
Key responsibilities include the following
Responsible for translating low fidelity wireframe and high definition designs
Create Prototypes using adobe XD
Translate stories into a design, choosing images and designing multiple concepts.
Create data visualization to produce easy to understand visual charts and graphs
Develop scalable design systems
Translate business requirements to effectively tell a client centric marketing story
Design digital marketing websites, campaigns, user journeys to drive business results through user-centric design
Manage vendors, budgets and mentor junior UX members
Translate business rules to user experience and ability to translate the value of the user's experience back to stakeholders
Create sitemaps, UI structures and document designs for developers
Lead multiple projects in parallel, meeting aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment with positive and motivated mindset
Qualifications
A successful candidate should ideally have these qualifications
10+ years of industry experience. Finance exposure preferred
Strong ability to apply design thinking to problems and create solutions by conceptualizing ideas
Thorough knowledge of Human/User Centered Design principles
Experience making marketing websites with UI design frameworks and processes for web and cross device implementation
Expert in Adobe XD, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular JS, Bootstrap and responsive frameworks in order to validate user interface front end development
Experience in conducting user research and usability testing a plus
Track record of translating business models into a strong user-centric digital experience
Well-versed with latest design trends in the industry
Proven experience in designing websites supporting complex global businesses
Impeccable visual design skills demonstrating ability to craft high impact, modern and aesthetic designs
In-depth understanding of the development lifecycle and experience working closely with the development teams in an iterative manner
Degree in design, HCI, industrial design or similar preferred
Portfolio of design work showcasing wireframes, design details, visual designs required
