Job Description

The Retail Experience Design team makes shopping on Amazon more personal and human. We guide the vision and customer experience for Amazon's mobile shopping apps, customer reviews, homepage, and products like AmazonSmile.

We are seeking a talented User Experience Program Manager to help guide the product design team as they define and drive innovation for our product across the core shopping experience.

In this position you'll have a significant impact on the customer experience as you take a leadership role in driving the UX & Design direction across a number of initiatives. You will work collaboratively with design, engineering, and product to guide user experience design throughout the planning, development, and release lifecycle for a multitude of customer scenarios to deliver innovative solutions that are effortless, intuitive and delight our customers.

The Senior UX Program Manager should have deep knowledge and practical experience in software design, from design concept to development and release, and possess excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities include:

* Identifying, prioritizing and scheduling UX work items related to design, including cross-feature/team dependencies and priorities
* Driving UX team deliverables by removing obstacles, assisting with tactical issues, triaging bugs, scheduling UX reviews with stakeholders and leadership, and communicating product/team status
* Working with Design Managers and Product Management to define priorities and scope for new domains and features from a UX perspective
* Understanding and driving dependencies with multiple retail product partner teams to prioritize and communicate key user scenarios to be supported while and maintain a high bar for customer satisfaction
* Driving the development of UX best practices and establish reusable design patterns and guidelines
* Mentoring and collaborating with partner teams across Amazon about product design, tools, guidelines, and influencing related product road-maps as the service is integrated across touch-points
* Working with user research to understand product UX issues and key scenarios to establish working priorities for current features and new initiatives
