Department Overview

The Corporate Security Team partners with Cybersecurity and is responsible for the physical security and risk management of all PG&E assets and resources.

Position Summary

The Senior Technical Security Systems Specialist will provide physical security knowledge and expertise to the design and operations of the PG&E Corporate Security Enterprise network. This includes providing and following standard specifications for security systems technology, in-house management of security technology and programing, implementing and setting standardized installations and repair criteria. The successful candidate will set and execute on standardized life-cycle maintenance guidelines. Additionally, they will provide effective vendor management, oversight and documentation of our external security partners.

The work location is field based in Fresno, CA. This position is full-time, with visits (1-3 times a week) to other field offices and job site locations in assigned area.

Qualifications

Minimum:

* 5 years of related technical experience, to include 2 years of security system design/engineering and/or security operations management experience
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent, related experience
* Must be able to qualify for NERC/CIP clearance
* Valid CA Class C Driver's License or ability to obtain by 1st day of hire

Desired:

* Experience managing complex, enterprise wide, multi-site security system projects with cross-functional teams
* Demonstrated strong work ethic and exceptional levels of accountability, self-drive, and business judgement
* Vendor Management of integrators (System design, proposal, submission, negotiation, oversight and execution)
* Experience in the design and programming of enterprise wide access control system and camera systems
* Experience in the design and roll out/deployment of shooter detection systems, AMAG IDS, Lobby Management Systems, Turnstile design and implementation and other physical security systems



Job Responsibilities

Projects

* Work with Physical Security Specialists on large installation and service projects, while ensuring alignment and communication on project status, etc. The Physical Security Specialist is a critical customer to the Technical Security Systems Specialist.
* Serve as Corporate Security's representative to LOB (Line of Business) on work related to security technology.
* Help support 3rd party vendors and contractor resources to ensure delivery of service .
* Manage and provide oversight of the project (schedule, budget and scope), and work with PG&E stakeholders and external entities to ensure project remains on schedule and on budget.

Compliance

* Work with SCC personnel to coordinate activities and interface with the Lines of Business on NERC/CIP and other government-initiated requirements
* Responsible for NERC/CIP related compliance for security technology systems for assigned sites. This includes site inspections, paperwork and report requirements

Break-Fix

* Help support and supervise field system maintenance / inspections related to break fix and compliance requirements
* Help support 3rd party vendors and contractor resources to ensure delivery of service
* Site inspections will be required to validate integrator completion of work and documentation necessary to generate scorecard for integrator

Responsibilities as a Subject Matter Expert

* Manage System Design and Engineering
* Ensures alignment, knowledge sharing, collaboration among key business partners within security and line of business.
* Tracks and reports on budget, assists teams with proper forecasting to ensure proper portfolio level financial accounting
* Develops a strong understanding of current products being offered by the Corporate Security team
* Supports the Standardization of security equipment on an enterprise level
* Conduct physical security surveys, perform security assessments and prepare written and verbal reports identifying discrepancies, recommendations for alternative security measures and actions as appropriate, and make recommendations for CSD Standards development
* Work with clients, security service vendors, and private security organizations on access consolidation, field security system client-initiated projects and IT network applications
* Supports the innovation and testing process for new technology
* Utilize expertise of physical security measures including, but not limited to access, CCTV systems, locks, and IDS to ensure physical safety and security of facilities
* Developing metrics, procedures, objectives to assess project performance and implements changes as necessary to ensure the projects remains within specified cost, s chedule, scope and quality objectives
