As one of the key pillars of the famous Amazon Flywheel, Selection is key to Amazon's topline growth. The Selection team within Amazon's SCOT (Supply Chain Optimization Technology) organization is responsible for driving thought leadership and innovation to optimize Amazon's selection and serving our customers by enabling them to find the items they need. We own systems that decide what selection Amazon should offer to its customers, leveraging cutting edge solutions that are at the cross section of core engineering, machine learning, operations research and econometrics.
This highly visible role requires a leader with a strong technical background with experience building scalable software systems. As a product owner of a software framework impacting multiple systems in SCOT, you will be responsible for defining the product landscape and bring both business and technical acumen to define the product road map, and priorities. You will partner with product owners, technical and business teams to drive changes across the entire Amazon Supply Chain. You will also evangelize new features to our internal customers, working to accelerate their adoption and implement metrics to track the realized impacts. You will partner with machine learning scientists, operations research and data scientists and economists to detail technical product requirements. You will work closely with a software engineering team to define the interfaces between SCOT systems, participating in software design and architecture discussions, and owning project planning, implementation and launch of systems and features that drive selection decisions across Amazon's marketplaces worldwide.
Amazon is a company operating a marketplace for consumers, sellers, and content creators.
