Amazon is looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager to be a part of the Social Shopping organization. You will specifically support the Contributor teams, which enable customers and other entities (including brands, authors, and influencers) to create content on Amazon. You will support the Interest team which enables Amazon shoppers to tell us about their interests and follow interests, authors, and other entities on Amazon. You will also support privacy initiatives that help us protect and maintain customer trust.
As a TPM, you will exhibit excellent judgement, anticipate bottlenecks, evaluate options, make tradeoffs, work across teams, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. We expect you to have the ability to take complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, and leadership are essential to success in this role.
Responsibilities include working with product management to define strategy and requirements, identifying and securing commitment from teams across the organization, driving consensus on the technical approach, setting timelines, and leading cross-functional teams from design through delivery. You'll need to be a strong program manager with technical and business acumen as well as an excellent communicator -- whether working with developers or providing updates to business leadership.
Amazon is a company operating a marketplace for consumers, sellers, and content creators.
