Senior Technical Product Owner

Position Overview

This position will engage with a global engineering team, executing on the delivery of future state software licensing and entitlement technology platform and infrastructure that support the entire Autodesk product portfolio. We are seeking smart technical product owner, with a passion for developing robust software and a keen interest in new software technologies.

Autodesk products are switching from perpetual licenses to subscriptions. We used to offer licenses that never expired. We now sell subscriptions where customers buy the rights to use the software for a given time period.

The team critical to this business transformation is looking for a Software Engineer in test. You will help develop testing framework, automation framework, tools and technologies. You will also help in development activities along with testing. This role initially focus on testing but eventually turn in to software engineering role.

* Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and platform technologies.
* Experience with REST API governance (standards, lifecycle management, monitoring)
* Experience with REST API technologies (JSON, Swagger, OAuth, etc) • Experience with Reporting, Analytics, Business Intelligence, and/or AI
* Strong project management, planning, and organization skills, including ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
* Strong communication and presentation skills
* Strong drive and high energy; action and results oriented

Responsibilities

* Engage with stakeholders in various groups to understand larger strategic objectives, lead ideation sessions to identify opportunities for Order platform teams.
* Own, prioritize, and maintain the Product Backlog, including definition of epics, user stories, acceptance criteria
* Collaborate with a cross-functional team of designers, business analysts, developers, testers and others to develop and execute against Product Roadmaps and Release Plans
* Use data to identify opportunities and deliver recommendations
* Continuously and transparently communicate with internal stakeholders the prioritization of the Product Backlog and the status of development efforts via Product Demos, Release Plans and other means
* Break down epic-level user stories into detail-level stories consumable and testable by a scrum team
* Define, prioritize, and drive realization of specific product vision
* Act as the subject-matter expert for assigned products
* Work with Engineers to help direct, motivate, and guide them to deliver

Minimum Qualifications

* BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
* 7 years progressive experience developing scalable, distributed applications
* Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
* Possess strong analytical skills with excellent problem-solving abilities
* Must be extremely detail-oriented with respect to documentation and communication
* Strong experience with building cloud-based API platforms or backend systems in a Unix environment
