Senior Systems Software Engineer

We're looking for a talented Systems Engineer (back end engineer) who will be a strong technical contributor to out team. You would be responsible for significant projects, working directly with stakeholders and team members to understand business problems, design and build the right solutions, and deliver value to the company. Our team integrates with multiple engineering teams and partners to provide the accurate business data necessary for EverQuote to make the right business decisions that fuel our growth.

You Will:

* Oversee the development and lifecycle of new software features & systems
* Apply computer science fundamentals and software engineering experience to the evaluation and resolution of business problems
* Identify, investigate, and resolve issues with production systems
* Work with our site reliability engineering team to build production and staging environments for software services
* Architect platforms that last in a growing business environment
* Work with analytics stakeholders and executive leadership to understand their needs
* Identify and advocate for next steps on projects or tasks that will deliver business value or reduce technical debt
* Decompose complex technical problems into accurate and useful milestones

You Have:

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related field of study
* Solid foundations in algorithms and data structures
* Experience architecting and managing complex systems, and identifying novel, effective solutions
* Strong interest in working with internal stakeholders
* Experience with linux-backed infrastructure and services (preferred)
