Conducts logical analysis of management problems and management information requirements and formulates mathematical models of problems for solutions by computer. Prepares mathematical models of problem areas in forms of one or several equations that relate constants and variables, restrictions, alternatives, conflicting objectives an their numerical parameters. Develops and conducts analytic studies to provide advice and evaluation of the probable effects of alternative solution. Performs feasibility studies, analyses, functional requirements identification, and system design. Gathers, relates, identifies data with variables in models by applying personal judgment and mathematical tests. Reviews operations and testing of models to insure adequacy, or determines needs for reformulation. Prepares written, non-technical reports to management, indicating solutions or range of possible alternatives in rank of desirability and probability of success when there is no single solution. Requires Bachelors degree or equivalent, and two to four years of related experience.· Provide systems engineering expertise on a wide range of activities and missions supporting fixed, mobile, and portable systems for border security.· Perfrom systems engineering analysis as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing technical advisory and lead system integrator technical oversight to the government division lead.· Participate in Technical Interchange Meetings to review software development schedules and ensure alignment/integration with planned systems engineering and test activities.· Serve in a key engineering role during design reviews to ensure tasks and actions for specified milestone entrance/exit criteria and government-established top-level requirements are met.· Support the technical review process and assess performance and work products.· Identify software, hardware and integration development risks, assist in joint SW/HW impact analyses and develop mitigation strategies to reduce system development acquisition risks.· Support system level test objectives development and assess/verify test performance.The candidate must possess a comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end System Development Life Cycle
