Job Description

Responsibilities-

* Design, administer and contribute to development of search applications utilizing Java and Solr technology stacks
* Administer SOLR clusters
* Install, configure, administer, and/or upgrade/migrate Apache Solr
* Manage secure Solr services including Admin Console - integrate plugins to connect Solr with LDAP, RBAC, and/or IDM
* Develop practices to formalize Solr implementation and usage
* Work with customers to translate business requirements into software solutions
* Design and implement Solr backend application interfaces for data and services
* Tune Solr indexes to optimize performance
* Develop practices to manage and maintain multiple replicas/shards for DA
* Support production deployment of applications using Solr

Required Skills-

* Relevant technical degree or equivalent with 5 years' experience demonstrating capabilities within the areas of enterprise search, metadata, and ELK concepts/technologies.
* Experience with Apache Solr, Lucene, Spark, Zookeeper, Enterprise search platform (e.g. SOLR - Elastic Search - LucidWorks -)
* Strong and proven experience with Apache Solr, Lucene, Elastic Search, ZooKeeper, and Solr Hybrid Cloud.
* Client-side web development technologies (HTML5 - JavaScript - JQuery - REST - JSON - SAML - Oauth…)
* Strong knowledge of SQL, Linux CLI & Linux System Administration skills
* Experience with Solr Master/Slave Replication implementations or Solr Cloud
* Experience tuning Solr indexes, and maintain multiple replicas/shards for HA
* Security with Solr
* Solid understanding of consuming RESTful APIs
* Content indexing (crawling - ETL) - Setting up indexing, retrieving, ranking heterogeneous datasets.
* Experience working with development teams to support application deployments
* Understanding of common development principles and design patterns
* Understanding of the software development process and configuration management
* Experience working with Agile teams
